This morning we decided to go exploring.
We have passed this park many times on our travels thinking we should stop and see what is here.
The reviews gave it 4.1 stars out of 5. Not too bad!
It is advertised as a scenic, serene hilltop park with shaded paths and gardens, offering elevated city and lake views.
We took some pictures of the scenery but noticed there weren't many people walking around.
We continued walking and taking pictures.
When we reached the clearing we noticed young couples throughout the park.
Many were under umbrellas.
One day at the University the students told us about the different parks. Some parks you can take families and some are for lovers.
Obviously this park was for the lover's. 😉
We decided to take a few more pictures and then walk to the KCC
(Kandy City Center-Mall).
(Kandy City Center-Mall).
Notice the roots around this tree.
Couples in the park.
Another couple in the park.
Some of the flowers.
More flowers.
They do have some gorgeous flowers!
On the top floor of the KCC there is a food court. Two choices, Burger King or a place called World Spice.
This restaurant serves Italian, Thai, Indian, and Chineses food.
This is what we got Bruschetta, Chinese rice & noodles and a Seafood salad. Very yummy food!
Walking down to the KCC passed this house they are building.
Notice what they use to hold the top in place.
After lunch we went to a clothing fair. We actually bought a few things.
A top that is all hand made.
A wrap around skirt.
Shirt and saron for Ken. Looks pretty good in his new Sri Lankan attire.
After shopping the Sisters went to get their India Visa. We rode out to visit our Branch President and his wife. She is expecting and has about a week to go. It was nice to visit with them. They are going to be such good parents.
