Jambola

Here is a Jambola tree. We know them as a Pomello.

It is a citrus fruit, similar to a grapefruit. Our first stop on the day they gave us some fruit.

Next stop was this family. We took the Sister Missionaries with us today. It was fun to be with them.

To get to their home we had to hike up the hill. I am swatting at gnats. This time of year they have soooo many. They are tiny pesky fruit fly type of gnats. They buzz around your head and especially the ears.

You can see us climbing down the mountain.

A picture of me at the top.

Now I'm slowly coming down.

The people who live on the mountain are like mountain goats. They can climb up and down twice before I even make it down the hill.

Once at the bottom of the mountain we met with a family that lives at the bottom. We shared some of our pictures of our family with them. Then we talked about Jesus Christ and shared some videos of Him. By the time we were ready to leave there were thirteen people who were there.

We sure have fun meeting them and I think they like meeting us. Especially since we are white and speak English. It gives them a chance to practice their English with us.

Today was a short drive, only 46 kilometers. Which is equal to 29 miles. Doesn't sound like many miles but the three wheelers can only go about 15 miles an hour up and down the hills.

Everyday is an adventure and we are hanging on for the ride.
