Happy 25th Anniversity! Saturday, February 24, 2018

Happy 25th anniversary to Kumar and his wife Renu! Kumar is a driver in Colombo that we all love. He takes care of all the senior missionaries transportation when we need his help. He also drives the Mission President and other church leaders when they come to visit.
He is  also a good friend. He gives us advise and knowledge about Sri Lanka. I feel he is one of my guardian angels while we are here. We are lucky to have him and his family in our lives!

This is a picture of his daughter, mother, wife and son.

It was quite the party with a full buffet of food.

Listening to the music and enjoying the outdoor party.

The DJ played music that we enjoyed listening to. A lot of oldies that reminded me of my high school and college days. Elder Luke and I even danced a couple of dances.

Visiting with Elder and Sister Lathen.

Kumar gave his wife some gold bracelets.

Their anniversary cake. After Kumar presented his wife with the bracelets they cut the cake. They share a piece with each other and then serve the rest to their guests. The tradition is to eat cake before dinner.

Elder Lee with President Anton,

Before we went to the anniversity party we visited with this sweet family in Colombo. They have been members of the Church of Jesus Christ for about 6 months. I feel like I knew Lydia before we came to Sri Lanka. Maybe it's because we have a lot in common. We both teach school. We have 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy.
Their youngest daughter reminded me of Kenna when she was younger. She liked playing with my hair and neck. She had to sit close to me and hold my hand.
Their son is a lot like Trevor. Doesn't like doing homework, especially with grandma.
Their oldest plays the piano like Wendy. She played us a few musical numbers before we left.
We sure enjoyed our visit with them!
