This morning we got up early to catch the 6:15 AM train to Colombo. We are meeting with President Anton to get visas for members to go to the Philippines Temple. It is quite the process to get visas here and we want to make sure we have everything they need. We are staying until Saturday so while we are here we are going to try and visit with a few people.
While in Colombo we stopped and had lunch. I had rice and chicken. Ken had a seafood rice dish. It was pretty spicy. Got our lips burning and nose running which means it was good! 😄
Every once in a while we try to make some of our favorite foods from the USA. Here is some fresh salsa that we made. Sure did taste yummy!
If you have fresh salsa you need chips to go with it. Here is a bag that we found. They are pretty expensive. About $4.00 a bag but they tasted so good.
One morning having banana French toast.
Ken having salad for breakfast with fresh salsa.
We eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Our favorite fruits are; pineapples, watermelons, oranges and apples. Sometimes we'll buy bananas, strawberries and grapes. The vegetables we eat the most of are; peppers, tomatoes (I know someone will say tomatoes are a fruit 😉), potatoes, onions, carrots, green beans, cucumbers and cabbage. We have replaced cabbage for lettuce. Sometimes we buy lettuce but it doesn't last too long.
