This morning Ken walked down to the little store to buy eggs so I could have breakfast. They are fresh and you buy them individually. Good thing he did because the Elders came over to use our computers. While they were here they just happen to be hungry. Lucky for them we had eggs and bread for toast.
We met with a family today. Had a great visit. Then we went to the bank. Next we had an appointment to teach English. On the way we stopped to buy durian for our driver and the family we are teaching.
Durian has a very strong odor. Some describe the odor as rotten onions, turpentine, and raw sewage. The odor lingers for several days after you eat it. Some hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia have banished durian because of its odor. I haven't eaten any because the smell is awful.
After teaching English we met with Suresh, from India. He is here helping get some of the things fixed in our church house. We spent a couple of hours visiting with him. While he was in the electric store we sat in the car watching the people. Many of the businesses close around 6:00. This was around 7:00. Not too busy at this time of night.
We had a busy great day with lots of rain.
