What a fun day taking Elder and Sister Briggs to the Elephant Orphanage, Pinnawala!
Feeding the baby elephants with a bottle of milk. This elephant could drink more than a dozen bottles.
Sister Briggs feeding the Elephant some fruit.
They are just so fun to watch.
The elephants love the water!
Who would have thought that you could make paper out of elephant dung. It's quite the process but poo paper does exist!
What an experience we had riding an elephant!
Sister Briggs riding the elephant. Elder Briggs couldn't ride because he had both knees replaced. Riding is very hard on the knees.
Riding an elephant is different than riding a horse. The elephant is wider, has a boney back and the skin slips back and forth. Good thing Ken is holding onto the rope because I was holding on to him.
As we got off the Elephant, Kens legs cramped up because of the wide stretch sitting on the elehant.
So much fun!
One of the older elephants. Look at his tusks!
After our elephant excursion we stopped at a spice garden (tourist trap). It was interesting as we listened to a presentation about what all the spices can do for your body.
This cream is suppose to make me look 10 years younger!
After the cream the presenter gave us a face massage. Really did feel good and relaxing!
Do you think I look 10 years younger?
Elder Briggs getting his massage.
Place we stopped for lunch, Tea Fortress.
Great place to eat.
Had some great fish and chicken.
Last stop for the night was vistng this family. We love them so much! The Briggs loved their hospitality and kindness!
What an awesome day!
