If you get the August Liahona or Friend magazine there is an article about Sri Lanka. These are some of the children from the Colombo 2nd Branch Primary. We are lucky enough to know most of these children. We got the printed copy but it isn't available online yet. Check it out when it comes.
This week we have a missionary couple coming from India to start the Self Reliance program here in Sri Lanka. First we get to spend a few days with the couple showing them around Kandy. Then on Saturday we will have the training.
This cute couple were married 2 weeks ago. Today they shared lunch with the Branch members. We had lunch packets with chicken, rice and curry. Congratulations Vimani and Samantha!

More hugs and handshakes. They are both deaf, which makes communicating interesting. Samantha is taking the missionary lessons and will be baptised soon.

You can tell that these two have been taught to work by their mother. Reminded me of the scripture found in Alma 56:47
"...they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them."
