This morning we got up early to catch the 6:15 train to Colombo. We headed out thinking we had everything we needed for our residency visa.
Kumar and President Anton met us at the train station and away we went for our 4th try. 🤞 President Anton talked to the Secretary and she told us we needed now an additional letter. 😲 What! She went back to the man in charge but he denied it again. 😣
So President Anton gave us the additional papers we needed to fill out and Kumar drove us back to Kandy. 🚗 Once in Kandy we filled out the paper work, got additional passport pictures taken and had Kumar take the papers back to Colombo to President Anton. President Anton now thinks he can get everything done without us having to go back to Colombo. Let's hope because we need it by Wednesday.🤔
Tonight the Lathens and their daughter came to spend the night with us. They will be in Kandy for the weekend. We love visiting with them and meeting their daughter. She gave me a treat from the USA. Brown sugar!🤗 Now I can make some cookies!
