Nothing is a coincidence

Tonight's view of the moon outside our apartment. The picture just doesn't show how big and orange it is. You can also see the house lights twinkling below.

What a great day! We didn't need to leave for the University until 10:00 this morning. That gave us plenty of time to get our lesson prepared, get ready for District Meeting and wash a few loads of laundry. We then got a phone call from President Anton, he is helping us get our permanent visa. He has been sick and asked us if we could get the letter we needed from the Chancellor. We are thinking, how can we get this
done. 🤔

We arrived at the University with plenty of time so we walked to the Chancellor's office. There is a gentleman that works for the Chancellor that has been a blessing in helping us. I feel he is one of our angels and has been placed there to help us.

He directed us to go to the Deans office where they would write the letter and then we would bring it back for the Chancellor to sign.

That sounded good to us because the Dean likes us and it should be easy, right? Well we explained to the Deans Secretary what we needed but she didn't seem to understand. Ken called President Anton to explain what we needed done.  Sure enough she could do it and write the letter. Ken stayed at the office while I set up the classroom.

Class was about to start when Ken came in to say he had to go back to the apartment to get our passports. This would take at least an hour to drive back and forth. Luckily the night before I put in my purse the flash drive that has all our documents downloaded. (I don't think it was a coincident - just glad I listened to that prompting this time). Ken was able to give her the numbers and dates that she needed. In the mean time while Ken is filling out what we needed I'm teaching a class of 44 students. Today was their first day back since Christmas break. We started out slow but got them involved and talking. I was glad when Ken came back and was able to help me the last hour of class.

After we finished teaching we picked up the typed paper we needed and headed to the Chancellor's office for his signature. We are so blessed when our kind gentleman met us and had the Chancellor sign the papers today. As we left he told us "God Bless."

Now we head to Colombo on Thursday! Hopefully we will have some good news in a few days. 🤞
