Traveling To Kurunagala - November 1, 2017

Today we rode with the Sister Missionaries to visit with Sister Basthiyan's grandfather who is in the hospital. He is very sick. Elder Luke was able to give him a blessing before he went into surgery.

The trip from Colombo to Kurunagala takes about 3 hours. Some sights on our way there and back included these water buffaloes being lead by their owner.

                                                        Scenery along the way.

The hospitals here have three times that you can visit, 8 - 9, 12 - 1, and 5 - 6. This shows some of the people waiting to get in and visit their loved ones.

Man welding on the hospital construction.

Students getting out of school. The way they get to school is walk, ride bus, ride taxi, ride a tuk tuk and...

ride a motorbike with your father.

Stopped at a fruit stand on our way home. These are red bananas.

Here are some red bananas, green orange and a wood apple. Green orange tastes a lot like grapefruit. We have to wait for a few more days to taste the bananas.

Life is good. Had dinner with the Hendrickson's and a couple here from Sri Lanka. They just got married and are flying back to the United States where he has been living for the past 9 years.

Shared a video message about how Our Savior has paid our debt just like the composer, Handel, did when he wrote the Messiah to pay for those who were in debtors prison.
