KNEES!

Tonight's English class helped me with pictures of KNEES.
From Dr. Seuss's book,
I say it once,
I say it twice,
KNEES, KNEES are very nice!

KNEES are great in everyway.
Hooray for KNEES!
Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Don't take them for granted.
Take good care of them please.
And always remember,
ENJOY YOUR KNEES!

Romans 14:11
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

SHOULDERS!

Simon Says, "touch your SHOULDERS."
After English class we played Simon Says.
We then had pumpkin soup and roti for dinner. Delicious!

Made me think of the song,
🎵🎵"Put Your Head on My SHOULDER."🎶

This is how we get around, in a three wheeler.

 "Put Your SHOULDER to the Wheel."

  1. 1. The world has need of willing men
    Who wear the worker’s seal.
    Come, help the good work move along;
    Put your shoulder to the wheel.
  2. Put your shoulder to the wheel; push along,
    Do your duty with a heart full of song,
    We all have work; let no one shirk.
    Put your shoulder to the wheel.
  3. 2. The Church has need of helping hands,
    And hearts that know and feel.
    The work to do is here for you;
    Put your shoulder to the wheel.
  4. Put your shoulder to the wheel; push along,
    Do your duty with a heart full of song,
    We all have work; let no one shirk.
    Put your shoulder to the wheel.
  5. 3. Then don’t stand idly looking on;
    The fight with sin is real.
    It will be long but must go on;
    Put your shoulder to the wheel.
  6. Put your shoulder to the wheel; push along,
    Do your duty with a heart full of song,
    We all have work; let no one shirk.
    Put your shoulder to the wheel.
  7. 4. Then work and watch and fight and pray
    With all your might and zeal.
    Push ev’ry worthy work along;
    Put your shoulder to the wheel.
  8. Put your shoulder to the wheel; push along,
    Do your duty with a heart full of song,
    We all have work; let no one shirk.
    Put your shoulder to the wheel.

HEAD!

“You have brains in your head.

 You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself any direction you choose.

 You're on your own. And you know what you know.

And YOU (WE) are the one (ONES) who'll decide where to go...”

― Dr. Seuss, Oh, The Places You'll Go!

❤❤❤Touching HEARTS! ❤❤❤

This morning we visited a Sister who has been in the hospital with pneumonia.  She is slowly getting better.
Our next adventure was to visit a family about 1 hour away from Kandy.

On the way we stopped to take pictures of "Bible Rock."
Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy ❤HEART❤ and with all thy soul.

Across the street were these mischevious monkeys!

This is the family we met.
They shared with us red bananas, cookies, mangoes, pineapple, cherries, oil cakes and cream soda. I am so amazed at how much they share with us who are total strangers.

Priyadarshana, his son (Yasiru Sadakan), his sister (Dasuntha) and mother (Premanathi).
The reason for our visit was a request from Priyadarshana's sister who lives in the UK. She had contacted President Nishan from the Colombo 1st Branch, in December, to have someone give her father a blessing. We got the message two days ago and found out that her father passed away a week ago, but they still wanted us to come and meet them. I have decided that these people have ❤HEARTS❤ of gold. They treated us as if we have been friends forever. We are sorry for their loss but what a pleasure to meet them.
Hope we touched their ❤HEARTS❤ as much as they touched ours.

On the way back to Kandy we stopped by this rock with a hole through it. (Kadugannawa Rock View and Rest area). The story we were told was when the British were here they cut a hole through the rock, even though it was easy to go around it. When asked why they cut the hole, they said it was because they could do it. 🤔 You can't drive through it any more because the rock is slipping.

Hands!

Doctrine and Covenants 38:40

...go to with his might, with the labor of his hands, to prepare and accomplish the things which I have commanded.

I Have Two Little Hands

1. I have two little hands, folded snugly and tight.
They are tiny and weak, yet they know what is right.
During all the long hours till daylight is through,
There is plenty indeed for my two hands to do.
2. Kind Father, I thank thee for two little hands
And ask thee to bless them till each understands
That children can only be happy all day
When two little hands have learned how to obey.
