Took Brent and Robert to the Dambulla Caves.
As we hiked up the hill we saw a wasp nest in this tree. You have to look close to see it.
Inside one of the caves.
The ground gets very hot on the feet.
See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil!
🙈🙊🙉
You can see how large the Buddha Statue is by looking at the toes.
On the way out we were confronted by monkeys when Robert decided to have a snack. The monkeys could smell the food and came out to join us.
He quickly put his food away.
Didn't know my brothers would be scared of monkeys!
After visiting the caves we enjoyed a bumpy bull cart ride.
We rode the bull cart to a lake.
At the lake we loaded up on a boat to travel to a village.
Reaching our destination.
Once we arrived at the village we had to climb the tree house.
View from the tree house.
Robert and Ken climbing the coconut tree.
Being taught how to pound the rice.
Not as easy as it looks.
Grinding the rice.
Sifting the rice.
Ladies cooking our lunch.
Let's eat!
We enjoyed rice with chicken and fish curry, potatoes curry, pumpkin curry, papadon and kotu.
Robert and Brent even ate with their fingers.
Thanks for a great afternoon and lunch!
Headed back to our car in three wheelers.
Last adventure of the day was going on an elephant safari, but first heading to the potty.
We were able to see some cute elephants!
Jet lag kicked in for Brent. Poor guy, he was super tired and miserable.
We dropped Brent off at the hotel. Then we headed out to get some dinner. I had chicken with vegetables.
Robert got a sandwich.
All in all a very good day!
Even with the jet lag.
