Party At The Sansoni's!
As we were heading to our appointment this elephant was walking down the street.
I still love seeing the elephants!
They amaze me at how big they are and the way they walk!
This chameleon was laying her eggs on the path heading to our appointment.
Made it to the house.
We had quite the hike up the hill.
It truly is amazing how high on the hill they build houses.
I think most of the people are half mountain goats on how fast they can climb up and down hills.
We enjoyed celebrating birthdays with the Sansoni family!
Taunya cutting the cake since today really is her birthday.
Happy Birthday!
They prepared a delicious meal of rice, chicken, dahl and Kotu Cola.
Still another rainy day. As you can see the river is filling up.
Water, water everywhere!

Raining Cats and Dogs!
Sharing a message with Bandaras and his wife.
Today it was raining very hard.
This warm cup of nesta-malt tasted very good and warmed us up.
They call it "raining cats and dogs!" I think it's "raining elephants and monkeys!"
This is a section of the road that is washed out by our house.
Lots of slip slidding going on.

Happy Birthday Niomi!
Had a birthday celebration with this cute little girl who turned 4 years old.
We are here with her grandpa - Jayasinghe, mom - Eshani, Niomi,
grandma - Ramya
Elder Karunarathne, Elder Devinuwara, Brother Shantha, and Brother Sunot.
Lighting the candles.
Candles are out and now cutting the cake.
First bite goes to the birthday girl. Then grandma and grandpa.
We got to enjoy a bite.
Open wide!
After the cake they fed us lunch. Noodles, chicken, fruit and ice cream.
It was very yummy!
Thank you so much for a great afternoon!
Coming down the hill from their home.
Next visit was at Sister Amali's home where we are teaching her daughter Pavini. We had a lot of her family show up and watch the video we were showing.
Early morning sun rise.
Most mornings are foggy but today was gorgeous!
So red sky in the morning sailors take warning!
Very true with all the rain that we have had.

Traffic & Rain!
On our way to teach English the traffic was terrible.
When traffic doesn't flow they call it blocked. Very blocked today.
Instead of getting to our destination in 30 minutes, it took us over an hour. Good thing our families understand when we are late.
Lots and lots of Rain!
This is a street looking at the markets.
This morning we were at the University. Some of the students waiting to take their exam.
Sunday, October 21, 2018 - District Conference!
Look who we met at District Conference? Niranji and Shailendra.
These two were in Malaysia with Trevor and Ashley.
So happy to be at District Conference and meet Niranji!
Some of the members at the Leadership training.
The Kandy Branch was well represented today.
We had two buses come from Kandy to Colombo with 65 people wanting to learn more about the church and about 65 members.
Most of the people are from areas where we are teaching English.
It's amazing how doors are opened because of teaching English.
What a blessing!
Saturday, October 20, 2018 - On the Edge!
Before our meetings this afternoon we went swimming.
Here I am reading by the edge. The pool is on the 26th floor.
Good thing there is glass between me and the edge!
Looking down!
Looking over Colombo towards the Indian Ocean.
At the hotel today they were having a fire drill.
Nice to know that the hotel practices if something were to happen.
Very organized training!
Saturday evening session of our District Conference.
